The Bagmati Province Police has commenced ‘Telephone Dialogue Program’ in all of its line offices to make chief of all police offices more responsible and help the police personnel reach out to their immediate chiefs in case of any problems.

Under this program, the police personnel of any rank could telephone their immediate chief and lodge their complaints or bring to fore the problems facing in line with the duty.

And they could also reach out to the chief of the Police in that province if their grievances were not addressed.

According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Basanta Kumar Lama, the program also aims to further streamline the police organization internally and facilitate the police personnel in the lower rung to notify their issues to the higher-ups.

Junior officers could call their immediate chief from 9:00 am to 10:00 am while police constable and head constable could telephone from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday while police officers and those working in higher rank than officer could call their immediate chief anytime. RSS
